Glass-Reinforced Plastic Manufacture
A contact molding method is used for the manufacture of glass-reinforced products at OZAA JSC.
Contact molding is the method of laying the glass material in the prepared form, followed by its impregnation with binding structures. An application of the binder composition is carried out both manually and with the use of spraying equipment. After the curing the parts are exposed to the machining.
Polyester and epoxy resins are used as binder, and glass filler as reinforcing components in the glass-reinforced plastic manufacture.
The binder gives the material monolithic, promotes an effective use of the mechanical properties of glass fibers and an equal distribution of efforts between the fibers, it protects the fiber from chemical, atmospheric and other external influences. Besides, the binder gives the material an ability to be molded into parts of various shapes and sizes, which provides a wide application of GRP in many branches of industries.
Different glass fillers used in the manufacture allow to get glass-reinforced plastic with various strength characteristics.
Gel coats are used to create a decorative and protective layer.
A wide range of colors gives the opportunity to make colorful and varied product. The quality of used materials guarantees an attractive form and durability of the products.
GRP produced at OZAA JSC possesses good mechanical, insulation properties, resistance to aggressive ambient as well as corrosion resistance.
OZAA JSC is the manufacture of the parts used for the assembly of MAZ vehicles, in agricultural machinery, bus and trolley-bus industry as well as the producer of small architectural forms (kiosks, bus-stop complexes), sports, leisure and other consumer goods.
